Emma the dog is a bad-ass.  She belongs to one of our clients whose website we’re launching in the coming days.  Feel like we need a Funkhaus bulldog or something…

A really nice interactive “infographic” of sorts, called “When Larry Met Sergey,” gives a great pictorial history of the Google machine.

Hello 2012!  Funkhaus comes out the gate with an exciting new website for our pals over at Farm League.
They’re the kind of crew you wish you could travel with - they bring a sense of adventure and of the great outdoors to everything they touch.  We built a site that is cinematic and clean, using full-screen imagery whenever possible to capture all their amazing travels.

Manwolf - Farm League

So team Funkhaus has been working on perfecting the latest creation known as “Farm League” and through the process. I found myself re-watching this video saying to myself, Fuck! This is just… well.. Watch it.

If I where to ever move to Guatemala, I would apprentice one of the master sign painter, stencil masters. To print a sign professionally is just too much money, so everything is just painted right on the building, and there is no shortage of cheap paint.

As many of you may know, I was in Guatemala for two weeks over the holidays. I am finally getting around to organizing the 1000’s of photos I took and will be posting some that relate to design and art over the next couple of weeks. The best thing about Guatemala is the cheap transportation. What would cost 80 bucks in cab fare in LA cost a mere 2 dollars in Guat. We are getting robbed in the US as far as this goes. Not to mention, how dope are these tuk tuks! Each one had their own style to match the driver.

Funkhaus is proud to release the latest iteration of the Caviar Website. David Funkhouser has been responsible for the design for the past 3 websites to date and it was time to give the good folks at Caviar a website that is even more streamlined than its predecessors.
Lightweight, Vimeo Powered, and damn sexy. A little vulgar too. Long live the big bad wolf! Visit the new site now!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS  – from – FUNKHAUS

2011 was a formative year for Funkhaus, and we’re excited for the growth that 2012 will bring. We have a number of amazing collaborations in the works, digital and analog, and we’re excited to have you (our clients) along for the ride.

We value our clients tremendously and adhere to the belief of the great Vidal Sassoon: “If you don’t look good, we don’t look good.” We continually strive for perfection in the marriage of design and technology as it applies to your business and showcasing your work. At Funkhaus, what keeps us ticking are the collaborations with our talented client base. We know (and appreciate) how hard you work.

If you’re like us, after a hard day at the office nothing soothes the creative spirit like an ice cold beer. So as a gift to our clients this year we sent out the Funkhaus Holiday Hogwash End-of-Year Survival Kit as a token of our appreciation. Complete with our very own Hogwash Brew (a golden pilsner brewed specially for Funkhaus), Ruby Red Koozies (ensuring maximum temperature control), and the custom engineered Cool Hand Luke bottle opener (forged from Pittsburgh American Steel) that will come in handy for years to come.

Tell your friends, warn your enemies, and keep it funky! THANK YOU!

p.s. If you are a client and you have not received your Hogwash Kit yet, please contact us and we will get one to you ASAP!
